You are not alone. The loss of a pet can be incredibly difficult. If you or someone you know needs help, the resources below are all available to provide support.
Suicide and Crisis Lifeline
This service is not only for suicidal individuals. It is there to provide support to anyone experiencing emotionally challenging events, grief, isolation, or substance use. There are options for calling, texting, or chatting and it is anonymous and easily accessible.
Resources on Pet Loss and Grief
from Lap of Love
Lap of Love is a well-respected pet hospice and euthanasia service. This website provides information about coping with loss, anticipatory grief, and links to support groups and services.
A filter-able list of books for all ages that can bring comfort, provide support, and encourage healing. Books our family has found particularly comforting are "Cat Heaven" and "Dog Heaven" by Cynthia Rylant.
